Imagine: an AI that thinks along with you

Imagine sitting in the bathtub. No laptop. No keyboard. No document in front of you. You speak your thoughts out loud, and on the other side is an assistant who understands your context, senses your tone, and knows exactly what you mean. Someone who writes along with you, sharpens your ideas, and occasionally interrupts to ask: “What do you really mean here?”

That used to be reserved for people like Winston Churchill.

Today, it is technically possible for almost any business.

In this video, Jeremy Utley shows why that promise of AI still feels unsatisfying for many organizations — and why others are making enormous leaps forward. The difference is not the quality of the AI model, but the way we choose to work with AI.

Why AI so often disappoints

Many companies treat AI as a tool. Like earlier software, it is expected to work faster, be cheaper, and deliver efficient output. A prompt goes in, an answer comes out. And to be fair: that works — to a point. AI makes “good enough” incredibly easy.

But that is exactly where the problem lies. As soon as “good enough” is available within seconds, thinking stops. Creativity, strategy, and real decision-making begin only after that first output. And that is precisely where a tool-based approach to AI falls short.

What if AI were a teammate?

Utley asks a different question: what happens if you don’t treat AI as a tool, but as a colleague? A teammate who receives feedback, is coached, and — perhaps most importantly — asks questions in return.

Instead of:

“Write this proposal”

you get questions like:

  • Who is this for?
  • What absolutely cannot change?
  • What assumptions are we making here?
  • What have you already tried?

That is not a clever prompt.

That is a fundamentally different way of designing systems.

Context changes everything

The difference between shallow AI and valuable AI is context. Without knowledge of internal processes, customer data, decision rules, and objectives, AI remains generic. With that context, AI becomes an extension of how an organization thinks.

That is why we don’t build standalone AI tools or thin “AI layers.” We build custom AI integrations that are deeply embedded in how an organization actually works. Systems that understand why decisions are made — and when they should ask better questions instead of producing quick answers.

Creativity remains human

AI does not replace creativity. It exposes it. The first idea has become free — but real value only emerges when humans and AI move beyond that first idea together. That requires iteration, feedback, and deliberate choices.

Our perspective

This video confirms what we see every day in practice: successful AI does not come from adding technology, but from reorganizing work around intelligent systems.

Companies that understand this do not use AI.

They work with it.
